This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our applications available on the Google Play Store, including the Vidh Parents application ("Parents App") and the Vidh Hub staff application ("Vidh Hub" or "Staff App"). Please read this policy carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

Unless a section states otherwise, Sections 1–10 apply to the Parents App. Section 11 applies only to Vidh Hub (Staff App) and describes our collection, use, disclosure, sharing, and retention of face data.

We do not collect photos, videos, audio files, SMS, call data, financial information, or other sensitive data through the Parents App unless explicitly stated and consented. Face data collected through Vidh Hub is described in Section 11.

9. Consent and Prominent Disclosure

Before collecting any personal or sensitive data, the App will provide clear, prominent disclosures explaining what data is collected and why, and will request your explicit consent through affirmative action (such as tapping “Accept”).

11. Vidh Hub (Staff Application) — Face Data

This section applies only to the Vidh Hub staff application. It explains how we collect, use, disclose, share, and retain face data (facial images and derived facial recognition data used to verify identity) when you use Vidh Hub for staff attendance and related school operations.

11.1 Collection and Use of Face Data

With your explicit consent, Vidh Hub may collect face data when you enroll your face profile or mark attendance using the device camera. We use face data solely to verify your identity, record staff attendance, and prevent fraudulent check-ins at the educational institution that employs or engages you. We do not use face data for advertising, marketing, or unrelated profiling.

11.2 Sharing and Disclosure of Face Data

We do not sell or rent face data. We may share face data only as follows: (a) with your school or institution's authorized administrators for attendance and workforce management within that institution; (b) with trusted service providers (such as cloud hosting providers) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality and data-processing agreements, solely to operate and secure Vidh Hub; and (c) when required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the platform. We do not share face data with third parties for their own independent marketing or analytics purposes.

11.3 Where Face Data Is Stored

Face data is stored on secure servers operated by Vidh Labs or our contracted cloud infrastructure providers. Data is transmitted using encryption in transit and protected using industry-standard access controls and encryption at rest. Storage locations may include secure data centers in India or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate, consistent with our data security practices in Section 5.

11.4 Retention of Face Data

We retain face data only for as long as necessary to provide attendance and identity-verification services for your active staff account at the institution, or as required by law or legitimate institutional record- keeping obligations. When your staff account is deactivated or you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your face data within a reasonable period, unless retention is required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention. .

11.5 Consent for Face Data

Before Vidh Hub collects face data, the App will display a clear, prominent disclosure describing what face data is collected, how it is used, where it is stored, how long it is retained, and with whom it may be shared. Face data is collected only after you provide explicit consent through an affirmative action (such as tapping "Accept" or completing face enrollment).

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
